Do I need a website to start my business?

Decide what your first website should do and prepare a clear online presence when starting a business.

Define what customers need to find

Before choosing a page count, list the questions people ask: what do you offer, who is it for, where do you work and how can they contact you? A website can bring those answers together. It does not replace business registration or your sales work.

Start with a clear offer

An initial presence can focus on your services, approach and contact request. The goal is not to publish everything at once, but to help a person understand your activity. A startup or solopreneur can define priority content before considering more complex features.

Connect your contact points

Social profiles, recommendations and email can direct people to a shared introduction. Keep information consistent across channels. A short form makes starting a conversation easier, but it must actually store requests and explain honestly what happens after submission.

Prepare the next step

Gather text, relevant images and launch goals. Decide whether your audience needs French, English or both. Quebec’s official guide covers business startup procedures; your website is a separate communication project. We can discuss it during a free consultation.
